Who is Refrom designed for?
Refrom is designed for individuals who require intensive, specialist rehabilitation following orthopaedic surgery, neurological events, complex injury, or those managing chronic conditions. Our programmes are appropriate for adults of all ages who would benefit from an immersive, medically supervised rehabilitation experience in a premium alpine setting.
How do I know if Refrom is right for me?
We offer a confidential initial consultation — by telephone, email, or through our enquiry form — in which our admissions team will discuss your situation and assess whether our programmes align with your needs. There is no obligation, and all conversations are handled in complete confidence.
Can my family be involved in my care?
Yes. We actively encourage appropriate family involvement and can facilitate accommodation arrangements for family members who wish to be nearby during treatment. Family members are included in designated clinical updates and discharge planning with patient consent.
Is Refrom suitable for international patients?
Yes. A significant proportion of our patients travel from outside Switzerland. Our admissions team can assist with travel planning, visa requirements, and transfer arrangements. Leysin is accessible from Geneva Airport in approximately 90 minutes.
Programmes & Treatment
How long are rehabilitation programmes at Refrom?
Programme length is determined by your clinical needs and rehabilitation goals. Programmes typically range from 2 weeks to 16 weeks. Your clinical team will recommend an appropriate duration following assessment.
How many hours of therapy will I receive each day?
Active therapy typically comprises 4–6 hours per day, structured across the morning and afternoon. This includes physiotherapy, specialist treatment sessions, and where appropriate, outdoor alpine therapy. Rest periods are integrated into each day to support recovery.
Are programmes available for both orthopaedic and neurological conditions?
Yes. Refrom offers specialist programmes for orthopaedic recovery, neurological rehabilitation, post-surgical care, pain management, and preventive wellness. Our multidisciplinary team covers both disciplines, and some patients require integrated approaches across specialities.
Can my referring physician remain involved in my care?
Absolutely. We work closely with referring physicians and specialist teams throughout a patient's programme. With patient consent, we provide regular clinical updates and ensure full handover documentation at the time of discharge.
Facilities & Life at Refrom
What are the patient suites like?
All patient accommodation at Refrom is private. Suites are designed to feel more like an alpine retreat than a clinical environment — light-filled, ergonomically considered, and oriented where possible to provide mountain views. Housekeeping is provided daily.
Is the food included in the programme?
Yes. Meals are included within all programme fees. Our clinical nutritionist works with each patient to develop a dietary protocol appropriate to their recovery needs, and all meals are prepared fresh daily using high-quality regional produce.
Can I use a telephone and access the internet during my stay?
Yes. Wi-Fi is available throughout the facility. We encourage patients to manage their connectivity in a way that supports their recovery, and our team can offer guidance on digital rest as part of a wellness approach if appropriate.
What is the nearest airport?
Geneva Airport (GVA) is the most convenient international gateway, approximately 90 minutes from Leysin by private transfer. Zurich Airport is also accessible in approximately 2.5 hours. We can assist with transfer arrangements on request.

Does Refrom work with health insurance?
Refrom works with a range of private medical insurers and can assist with pre-authorisation and documentation. Coverage will depend on your specific policy and insurer. We recommend contacting your insurer in advance to discuss your planned admission.
How is Refrom priced?
Pricing is presented on a per-programme basis, with a comprehensive quotation provided following clinical assessment. Our fee structure is all-inclusive — covering accommodation, meals, clinical care, and all scheduled therapy — with no unexpected add-ons.
